C.S. Lewis on the Common Good

Thus spake C. S. Lewis:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Ayn Rand would surely agree.

CS Lewis and Ayn Rand are my two favourite authors!!! I absolutely swear by their works and Mere Christianity and The Fountainhead are my bibles!! I love the profound thoughts and philosophies that ooze out from their writings; in fact, each sentence they write inspires a great deal of self-introspection and thinking.
I like CS Lewis especially becasue of the way spirituality stems from everything and anything he says and writes. In fact, his children's fantasy series-The Chronicles of Narnia also seem deeply spiritual and thought-provoking to me.
I only just saw the trailers of the new Narnia movie-Prince Caspian and ever since i've been super excited coz of the special effects, war sequences and background score of the movie that will enthrall anyone who watches the trailer. More so the very hot Ben Barnes is playing Prince Caspian!! Dont miss it! Watch the trailer here- http://www.disney.in/narnia
